Ncheng llp welcomes Maureen Friar as director, business development & consulting services

The NCheng LLP team is very excited to announce the appointment of nonprofit leader Maureen Friar to the position of Director, Business Development and Consulting Services.  Ms. Friar, who most recently was Executive Director of the Huairou Commission: Women, Homes & Community, officially joined the company in late September.

“Maureen is a highly experienced and much-respected nonprofit leader who has built organizations on the local, state and national levels, said Nerou Cheng, Managing Director, NCheng LLP. “Her expertise in nonprofit management and organizational sustainability, combined with her entrepreneurial spirit, will be a real asset to our company. Maureen’s passion for mission matches our clients’ and what we strive for at NCheng LLP: helping to make the world a better place.”

As Director, Business Development & Consulting Services, Ms. Friar will lead the marketing and communications efforts for the company. She will also develop a line of consulting services focused on governance, fundraising and board development.

Maureen Friar brings nearly three decades of experience to NCheng LLP as a nonprofit leader.  Prior to working at the Huairou Commission, she was Strategic Development Officer at Community Access, President and CEO of the National Housing Conference, Executive Director of the Supportive Housing Network of New York, and Director of Development at Catholic Charities of San Francisco.  She has also consulted to numerous organizations on their fundraising, board development and communications strategies.  She earned a MPP from the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley and a BA in international relations from Brown University.
